About Itatec: Time & Access Integration

The ITATEC team consists of technical and product experts. Having installed hundreds of time and attendance systems, they are familiar with all the different scenarios found in businesses and organization. Many different work rules have been implemented resulting in accurate time reports for every type of workplace.

ITATEC is based in Johannesburg and has installers and dealers in many parts of South Africa and surrounding countries. Our Story

The company began when everyone still used cardboard clocking cards. The vision was to automate the process with use of electronics.

The early days saw the production of a South African electronic clock station. This was accompanied by the development of the first time and attendance software.

With time the emphasis moved away from production, due to the proliferation of readers on the international markets. So the company put its efforts into sourcing best of breed biometric readers and in improving the software to meet the many differing requirements for the calculation of time in South African organizations.

A new name was chosen to represent the international flavor of the many new biometric products coming from around the world. So the company became International Time and Access Technologies, which we all call ITATEC.
